That’s my guy!

Just before we went on vacation, my dishwasher wouldn’t stop.  It just ran and ran and ran.  We knew that we needed to save our cash for vacation so we just decided to wait till we got home.  Well, vacation is expensive.  So when we got home we decided to wait a few weeks before buying a new machine.  (We had a repair man out.  He said it was fried.)  I think it has been about a month, maybe 5 weeks that we haven’t had a dishwasher.  I haven’t complained, out loud.  I know we need to make good financial choices.  But I’ve been so so sick of hand washing dishes.  I don’t feel like the kids can get them clean enough by hand so I’ve been doing it every time.   Last week Luke came home and told me that he’d bought me a new dishwasher and it would be delivered on Monday.  Best Buy messed up and we didn’t get it until today.  Then, he installed it for me and it works like a charm!  I’m so excited to be done doing dishes by hand.

The little things in our life like a dishwasher make such a huge difference in how we function. We are so spoiled at the level of clean these things get our dishes, I remember standing on a chair and doing them by hand as a child. Thinking back I can’t imagine that the dishes sparkled and shined when I was finished. Glad to hear you got a new functioning dishwasher. How awesome is that, that your man installed it for you! 🙂

Thanks for the comment! I know, I washed dishes at my grandma’s when I was pretty young too. That is before we all knew so much about germs though. Luke is usually the type to have someone install things. He just feels like it is their area of expertise and he doesn’t want to mess it up. But…no floods yet. So, I guess he did it right. He’s pretty excited about that!
