Day 6 was a simple not a big deal helping hand for someone I didn’t know. Any one would have done it. But, like I said before, it’s super hard to find something to do all the time, so I figured it “counted.”
Day 7 was really fun actually. I ran into Target to get a Starbucks….I know, I know, I know…anyway sheesh stop giving me so much grief about Target and Starbucks. You don’t understand how CLOSE it is to my house. It isn’t my fault. I didn’t build the Target there! I didn’t put the Starbucks in the Target!
So, back to what I was saying. I decided that I was going to buy a $5 gift card (I haven’t spent any money on this project in several days) and have the barista give it to the next person that walked up. But, as I was standing there a couple of other people got in line behind me. I turned to the lady behind me and said, “Can I buy your drink today?” She looked at me like she either was trying to remember if she knew me from somewhere or if I was a total looney toon. I told her that I really wanted to. She was super reluctant to order. When she finally did she wouldn’t tell them what size. So I just said “Grande.” It was so cute, her nervous laughter. I made some conversation about grocery shopping. Told her to have fun and took my coffee out the door on my way to yet another basketball game.
I hope she had a good night. I did. I’m having SOOOO much fun doing this. People just can’t believe that you want to do something for them. I hope that you will join me on this adventure if you haven’t yet. Do something fun and out of the ordinary for someone today. Trust me when I say that YOU will be more blessed than they.
